Andrade, McCarron and Sutherland sign up for the American Family Insurance Championship
Janzen, Mediate and Perry also commit to play
The field for the 2018 American Family Insurance Championship keeps getting stronger as more players commit.
The field for the 2018 American Family Insurance Championship keeps getting stronger. Billy Andrade, Scott McCarron, Kevin Sutherland, Lee Janzen, Rocco Mediate and Kenny Perry have all committed to the PGA TOUR Champions event.
The American Family Insurance Championship will be played June 22-24 at University Ridge Golf Course. Eligible players have until June 15 to sign up for the championship.
Previous tournament commitments include tournament host Steve Stricker, Jerry Kelly, Bernhard Langer, Joe Durant, David Toms, John Daly, Jay Haas, Juan Angel Jimenez and Colin Montgomerie.
Billy Andrade is a three-time winner on PGA TOUR Champions since joining in 2014. He already has four top-10 finishes, including at the Rapiscan Systems Classic where he placed second to Steve Stricker. In addition to his success on PGA TOUR Champions, Andrade has won four times on the PGA TOUR.
Scott McCarron is coming off his most successful year as a professional in 2017, winning four times and earning 14 top-10 finishes on PGA TOUR Champions. He holds two previous PGA TOUR Champions Tour titles, and won three PGA TOUR events during his career.
Kevin Sutherland won the 2017 Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs, culminating with his triumph at the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship, his first victory on PGA TOUR Champions. The only player to shoot 59 in PGA TOUR Champions history, Sutherland had 15 top-10 finishes in 2017, finishing second three times and third twice.
Lee Janzen counts two U.S. Open wins among his eight PGA TOUR titles. His holds one PGA TOUR Champions title, and already has achieved two top-five finishes this year.
Rocco Mediate joined PGA TOUR Champions in 2013 and has won three times, including one major, the 2016 Senior PGA Championship. He has four top-10 finishes this year. He is a six-time PGA TOUR winner and finished runner-up to Tiger Woods in a famous duel at the 2008 U.S. Open. He has four top-10 finishes this year.
Kenny Perry is a nine-time winner on PGA TOUR Champions, with his last win at the 2017 U.S. Senior Open. He holds 14 PGA TOUR titles, including the 2003 Greater Milwaukee Open. He has also played in two Ryder Cups and four Presidents Cups.
